Do I need to download anything from the App Store?
No. dBrief is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Open it in your browser and tap "Add to Home Screen" — it installs like a native app on iPhone, Android, or any tablet. No App Store, no Google Play.
Does it work on site without phone signal?
Yes. The job editor works offline once the app is loaded — drafts cache to the device and sync automatically when you're back on signal. The catalogue picker and customer-share send do need a connection.
Can I put my company name and logo on reports?
Yes. Add your company name, phone, email, website, accreditations (NICEIC, Gas Safe, SNIPEF, CAI, CEDIA etc) and choose an accent colour. Every report, quote and invoice customers receive will look like it came from you.
What trades is dBrief for?
Any trade that quotes, fits and invoices — electricians, plumbers, heating & gas engineers, builders, joiners, locksmiths, landscapers and more. The core (leads, quotes, job reports, photos, signatures, invoices and payments) works the same for everyone; just pick your trade when you sign up and the app tailors itself to you. If you fit aerials, satellite, CCTV or AV, you also get a specialist toolkit — signal logger, dual cable-loss calculator with PoE, CCTV/WiFi coverage planners and a live Astra 2 transponder lookup.
Can I send quotes and invoices through dBrief?
Yes — the full flow is built in. Send a quote with a deposit, customer accepts on a share link, you convert it to a job, fit it, then generate the invoice. Add your own online payment links (Stripe, Klarna, GoCardless, That Time Pro — any provider) so customers pay straight from the invoice. Daily reminders chase quote expiry and overdue invoices automatically. Bulk-export to Xero / Sage / FreeAgent / QuickBooks via CSV.
Can dBrief capture leads from my website and ads?
Yes. Each account gets a private lead-intake link you (or your web developer) drop into your website contact form, Google Ads lead form or a Facebook Lead Ads / Zapier connection. New enquiries appear automatically in your jobs list as leads — tap "Mark booked" and they flow straight into the quote → fit → invoice pipeline, with the lead source kept on record.
Will my jobs show in my normal calendar?
Yes. Every user gets a private calendar-subscription link — add it once to Google, Apple or Outlook calendar and your dated jobs appear alongside everything else, kept in sync automatically. No double-entry, no exporting.
How does the Eurosat catalogue integration work?
If you have a trade account with Eurosat Scotland, dBrief pulls live products from the catalogue at your trade-tier prices. SKUs and PDF datasheets carry through onto the customer report. Reorder a job's equipment to your Eurosat basket with one tap when you need to restock the van.
How does team pricing work?
Sole Trader is one user. The Company plan is £34.99/month with two engineers included, then £9.99 per extra engineer per month — add or remove engineers anytime as your team changes. Engineers are invited from the admin dashboard, and you only pay for the seats you're using.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. No contracts, no minimum term, no exit fees. Cancel via the Customer Portal in Settings — you keep access until the end of the billing period. Your job history stays accessible and can be exported.
Who made dBrief?
dBrief is built by Eurosat Scotland Ltd — an independent trade distributor that's supplied installers for years. We built it first for our own aerial, satellite and CCTV customers, then opened it up to every trade — because the paperwork headache is the same whether you're fitting a dish, a consumer unit or a boiler.
